Get iOS device UDID by scanning a QR code

Scan the QR code with your iPhone or iPad and install a temporary profile to read the UDID of the device. No cable, no computer and no app required. The UDID is what you need to register a test device in the Apple Developer portal.

This page is not served over https, so iOS will refuse to install the profile. Please open this page with an https address.

Good to know

  • The UDID is the unique identifier of an Apple device. You need it to register test devices and to sign test builds for them.
  • This tool uses Apple's own Profile Service mechanism. The profile expires immediately after the request and cannot read your contacts, photos or any other personal data.
  • Results are cached on the server for 30 minutes only. After that, scan the QR code again.
  • With the UDID you can use Appuploader on Windows/Mac to register devices and create certificates and provisioning profiles.
